Tepsivo Literature

Local Literature Screening Automation

For the first time ever, let us introduce to you a fully automated screening of non-indexed journals, available in all EEA countries where local literature monitoring is mandatory by European law.

Anyone who has ever done it probably knows that searching in non-indexed journals is a soul-crushing activity, especially seeing it practically never results in submitting new ICSRs to authorities. And if you’re in charge of budgets, it gets all the more frustrating watching how expensive the activity can get.

Symbolic illustration of automated literature review

Well, until now…

Covering all EEA countries, Tepsivo Literature can bring down the total cost across EEA to €3,000 per month for any number of products.

How does it work?

As with everything else we do, it’s all really simple. With focus on efficiency and strictly meeting legislative requirements, we found a way to alleviate the pain behind manually screening journals, with thousands of sources screened daily and results moved into one place: Tepsivo Platform.

Any articles/abstracts of interest are translated into English and we can easily assess if there is any safety relevant information in the unique tool that is Tepsivo Platform.

Tepsivo Literature is very simple, but effective. And that’s the main point – it removes human labor and redundant costs on an activity that adds very little value.

Why did we build it?

Literature screening in local journals is an obsolete legislative requirement that incurs high costs for MAHs and before industry gets rid of the requirement, we need a solution.

We have been challenging the requirement to screen non-indexed literature, seeing that it is an activity which does not lead to an impactful amount of ICSRs or safety relevant information.

Reporting as many ICSRs as needed. for a fixed monthly price
Easy and straightforward reports submission

In short, we view it as an outdated legislative requirement, and while we’ve been trying to lobby with EMA, it is out of our hands.

What we can do, however, is change things on the industry level. As the world’s first fully digital PV company, it is up to us to spearhead modernization of pharmacovigilance. That needs to include fully automating low value-added tasks such as local literature screening.

Tepsivo Literature for Global Literature Screening

It works the same way! You can use it for global databases as well of course. Since most INNs are covered by EMA’s MLM, fixing the industry problems with “global” literature screening isn’t such a huge priority but you can use Tepsivo Literature for other sources, too.

Not a problem.
